Bloodsport vs Deadshot

Idris Elba’s character Bloodsport is one who’s made many appearances ever since he debuted back in the 1980s as a Superman villain. Two men have taken up the mantle of the villain, Robert DuBois and Alex Trent. We don’t officially know which character Elba is playing, but as DuBois is a black man and Trent is a white supremacist, I think it’s safe to assume that this rendition of the character is Robert DuBois.

Originally, Elba was set to replace Will Smith as Deadshot from 2016’s Suicide Squad, however, as reported by Variety, his role was rewritten to make him a new character.

The confusion over Bloodsport vs Deadshot is understandable as the Suicide Squad movies have been a little all over the place. It seems like the upcoming film is in good hands with James Gunn and as we continue seeing more of it, it just keeps looking better.
