Here is every thing we know about Pokemon GO next month.
Yesterday, Niantic held one of its biggest events of the year – Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto. The ticketed event allowed players to encounter and capture every Pokemon from the first two games, plus their shiny forms. This includes Shiny Ditto and Shiny Mew. With the event coming to a close, however, it’s time to start looking forward to next month. Let’s see what Pokemon Go has in store for us in March.
Pokemon GO March Community Day
The first confirmed event of next month is the March Community Day. The event will feature the Tiny Robin Pokemon, Fletchling. Players will have a higher chance of encountering the shiny form of the Pokemon, will get 3x catch XP and Incense will last for three hours.
Any Fletchinder that is evolved during the event period will become a Talonflame that knows Incinerate.
Here’s an announcement that’s sure to have you tweeting! 😉

March 1 will see the beginning of a new Pokemon GO Season. December 1 – March 1 was the Season of Celebration within the game and saw a range of events and new Pokemon released as part of it. As the real-world seasons start to change, so do the in-game one and March will usher in the second season released within the game.
It seems Niantic is steering away from traditional seasons (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring) and is instead opting for their own spin on things (Season of Celebration). That means anything is on the table and it will be interesting to see what Niantic throws our way.
One thing we know for sure is the common Pokemon we’ve been seeing for the last three months will be rotated out for new ones.
Other Possible Pokemon GO March Events
Last year, March was a quiet one for Pokemon GO and it will be interesting to see if that changes this year. We got the inaugural GO Battle League Season but due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting to spread, things like the Abra Community Day were postponed.
St. Patrick’s day is celebrated on March 17, and Pokemon GO has taken part in this holiday before with a special Pikachu and the release of green Pokemon. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see this come back.
February 27 marks Pokemon Day, so there could be a big event to celebrate that, which could roll across into early March. March 20 marks the Spring Equinox and could also present an event opportunity.
Other than those predictions, however, it remains to be seen what Niantic will do. Let us know what you think will be happening next month in Pokemon GO.
