Who is WePlay eSports?

WePlay eSports is an esports event organizer that hosts tournaments for games such as CS: GO, Valorant, Dota 2, Mortal Kombat 11, and Tekken 7.

Why Did Bandai Namco eSports Stop Working With Them?

While the exact reason for the split between the two companies isn’t officially clear, there are some clues that might help us figure out what exactly happened. In a tweet today, Bandai Namco eSports said, “due to differences in vision and professional standards, we will no longer be working with WePlay as an esports tournament organizing partner.”

While the announcement doesn’t bring up any specifics, it seems like the split is likely the result of WePlay’s recent partnership with 1XBet, an esports gambling company. Plenty of companies are uncomfortable with the inclusion of gambling in the esports space, so this may be one explanation. Remember to take that with a grain of salt, as it’s just speculation.
