State of the Character System
In the new Free Fire update, Garena talks about the state of the character system and switching character skills.
They acknowledge how it can be a real pain to mistakenly get the wrong skill set and the additional task of changing them.
They promise that the new patch will give the Character System UI a total revamp with easier viewing and quicker switching of skills.
Costs Of Leveling
With the new Free Fire update, Garena will also adjust the cost of levelling. They say that the details are still in the works as they try to keep everything balanced.
Garena promises to merge normal and awakened skills for Awakened Characters. This means that an Awakened character like Kelly could have both her normal and awakened skills taking up just 1 slot instead of two. In their words – “Awakening is now truly awakened.”
Garena says that they are paying attention to the issue of Active Skills. They mention: “Every new Character with an Active Skill is almost always highly anticipated. Some big names have been causing more stir than others. Our design goal is always fair and balanced gameplay, and we will start reworking the most active-skill Characters beginning the next patch.”
They also acknowledge that some Passive Skills are also looking a bit old. With that, they are looking to renew old Passive Skills.
Thoughts On The Free Fire Update + Expected Release Date

It is reassuring to see the developer committed to keep the game fresh and promise an interesting experience regardless of the hours you’ve put in it.
The update is expected to release on or around April 14.
