Among Us April Fools 2021

In 2020, Among Us celebrated April Fools by catching fans of the Skeld map off-guard. Now, the game is celebrating April Fools 2021 again, however, in a similar fashion.

Among Us hadn’t quite hit its peak at this point last year but still had a handful of players. During April Fools Day, they were surprised to find that the Skeld map was flipped!

Among Us’ April Fools For 2021

Among Us itself is a pretty meme-y game. Their developer InnerSloth decided to continue their tradition in 2021 as well. Last year’s flipped Skeld map makes a return to Among Us this April Fools as well!

Of course, this caught quite a few players by surprise as it certainly is very disorienting to play something like that. The game itself relies heavily on map movement and map memory, and to completely turn a map can certainly cause some mind conflicts.

However, most fans on social media seem to be enjoying the mind-bender while others have appreciated the developer for this joke. After all, April Fools is all about creating a joke right where someone wouldn’t expect it, and this new feature certainly captures the essence!

Community Reaction

One fan on Among Us’ fandom website took a liking to the joke in the spirit of April Fools.

Twitter also seems pretty fond of the entire concept, as Twitter users immediately took a liking to this entire joke.

A few YouTubers have also expressed their initial shock and follow-up laughter with this new update.

Overall, it seems like the entire community has loved this small little joke planted right in the heart of the game. Of course, it was a repeat of last year so some might say that InnerSloth could’ve tried to outdo themselves. However, with the heartfelt reaction from the community, they’ve nevertheless done justice to Among Us in 2021!
