Genshin Impact Cross Save confirmed for PS5, PS4, PC and mobile devices – Pokde.Net

miHoYo made the right call to implement cross play in Genshin Impact so PlayStation gamers can enjoy the game together with PC and mobile gamers. One unfortunate thing is the lack of cross save functionality, so if you’re playing on multiple systems and one of the involves the PS4 / PS5, you’re gonna have to create a new account. Soon, that will no longer be an issue as the game will officially support cross save on all platforms in the next update, which will either be labeled as version 1.7 or 2.0. This also holds true for the Nintendo Switch when they have officially ported the game over to the system. You simply need to make use of a Hoyolab account on any of the platforms you want to play the game on. Pokdepinion: I’ve heard numerous friends complain about this as they play on their smartphone and PS4. Unfortunately, the latter needs a new account due to the whole cross play issue but this should at least let people play wherever they want, whenever they want.

For now, Genshin Impact 1.7 / 2.0 will be launching on 21st July 2021. It will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, iOS, and PC. A Nintendo Switch port of the game is still in the works and is expected to launch sometime soon. One advantage of the cross save feature will be useful for streamers as they can play the game on the PS4 / PS5 and use their PC exclusively for streaming. We are expected to hear more about this, along with the Inazuma region, in their upcoming livestream on 9th July 2021. If you want to know what time and where it’s taking place, click right here.
