Could there finally be a release date on the horizon for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2?
Legend of Zelda fans have been beyond excited ever since seeing the sequel to Nintendo’s critically acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at E3 last year. Since then, we haven’t heard anything else in the form of an update other than the brief teaser video showcased. If you have almost given up on hearing anything regarding the title, maybe don’t throw in your sword just yet as according to an Australian retailer, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 might have a release window.
According to Australian retailer Gameware, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 could be coming out at some stage this year between April 1 and June 1. The apparent leak was first seen over on Reddit which listed the eagerly anticipated Nintendo Switch game as “coming out in the 2nd quarter of 2021.” Unfortunately, Gameware doesn’t say anything else regarding its release date or any other kind of information so this could very well be the usual placeholder that is put on upcoming games.
As always with leaks and rumors, it’s taken with a piece of salt but there has been plenty of buzz around The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 releasing this year so there could be some truth to it. Gameware does apparently have a nose for sniffing things like this out though as we saw last year they correctly announced the worldwide release date for Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. But until we get an official statement from Nintendo, we won’t know for sure. Either way, you can be sure that when it does release, it will most certainly be Nintendo’s biggest games of the generation.
As of now, all we know is that Nintendo is working on this Breath of the Wild sequel for Switch with no public release window having been given. Hopefully, we’ll start to hear more about the project in the coming months.
