Who will come out on top?
As the countdown begins until players can get their hands on Resident Evil Village in May, here at DualShockers we want to keep your thirst for all things Lady Dimitrescu alive. We have seen our resident “Tall Vampire Lady” in numerous cosplay adventures and also some fan art pieces but today, we thought we’d bring you something a little different.
If you have ever looked at Lady Dimitrescu and thought to yourself how the villain would make the ultimate fighter in the classic Marvel vs. Capcom entries, artist Gate has made your wish come true. Incorporating the classic pixel art-style of the popular title, Gate has recreated the Resident Evil Village bad-ass into the fighting game as a full Super screen with her grabbing the defeated Gambit from X-Men in her huge clawed hand.
This isn’t the first time we have seen Resident Evil characters within the Marvel vs. Capcom universe. Jill Valentine made the jump into the title alongside Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Placing the mistress of Castle Dimitrescu into a future installment of the game would certainly see an influx of players who just want the Tall Lady to grab them by the throat and who could blame them?
Some of the comments under the fan art have praised Gate for this wonderful pixel reimaging of Lady Dimitrescu with one Twitter user saying “Wow! Amazing dude! Exactly how she would look in an MVC game if her game was made in that era. I love the old school 90’s marvel vs. capcom games, and lady dimitrescu’s art detail looks awesome in 90’s mvc style. Excellent job by the artist!”
Resident Evil Village will release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 7, 2021.
