GreedFall, the action-adventure RPG developed by French studio Spiders, is getting a new release for the new consoles – Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The Gold Edition of GreedFall is set to arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on June 30.
Apart from the enhancements included for next-generation consoles, the Gold Edition comes with a new expansion called “The De Vespe Conspiracy.” As expected, the game will feature UHD Native 4K support, enhanced visuals, fast loading, and 60fps in performance mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Those who already own the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will receive a free PS5 or Xbox Series X/S upgrade, but not the new expansion which can be purchased separately. The de Vespe Conspiracy is a full story arc with player choice and an epic conclusion, featuring new characters, enemies, gear, and areas to explore.
Along with the technical improvements, developer Spiders added a new Discovery difficulty mode that allows players to enjoy the adventure without having to develop their character’s skills and equipment. In this mode, characters will instantly gain increased resistances and damage stats, becoming almost invincible and able to overcome any enemy encountered with ease.
To make it more clear, the expansion that’s included in the Gold Edition will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S as a separate purchase for owners of GreedFall. Those who don’t own GreedFall yet, can go ahead and purchase the Gold Edition, which also includes the expansion at no additional costs.
Save file transfer is also possible between PS4 and PS5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions, so players who started GreedFall on the last-gen consoles can continue to play on the next-gen consoles.
